If you think of spring cleaning as making room for all of your new clothes, suddenly it doesn’t sound so bad. You’ll probably even find a few wadded up dollar bills and crumpled receipts, ghosts of questionable purchases past. Physically and metaphorically clean out your closet and start your spring refresh with the best basics. These items will help you smoothly transition out of winter and into spring.

I went to Nordstrom Rack just to innocently look around. I got half way down the shoe aisle when a pair randomly fell off the shelf about ten feet in front of me. I thought they were pretty cute and after all, that’s fate. (Everything happens for a reason… am I right?) These are the perfect shoes to ease any wardrobe from winter to spring. I love that they’re versatile enough to wear with a graphic tee or with a skirt and blouse.

I have a confession. The moment it started to feel like spring, I got a little crazy and did some online shopping. (Note- Buying jeans is always justifiable because you can never have enough denim!) Daily Look had just restocked these jeans after selling out and now I totally understand why. They fit PERFECTLY. Finding the perfect pair of jeans is like finding the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. If dog is man’s best friend, jeans are the clothing equivalent. You get the point. I, like many short people, have a hard time finding jeans that fit so I was beyond excited. Now I just need a good pair of white jeans. Does anyone have any recommendations?
