Hi guys! Hope your week is off to awesome start. You’ve already survived Monday which, to be honest, is the hardest part. I had a crazy busy day yesterday so I feel like the week is already in full swing. I had a morning meeting in Hermosa with Washed Ashore Adornments about some special projects Lauren and I are working on with them. (So excited to show you guys what we’ve been up to!!) After that I booked it back across town for a doctor’s appointment, hit the gym, and had to get a new mail key made because my roommate and I lost ours. But enough of the boring stuff..
It’s hard to believe we’re already half way through November. No.. seriously, I’m freaking out. I could’ve sworn it was just the 4th of July? To be honest it feels more like 4th of July than Thanksgiving here, but at least we finally have chilly mornings. If you’re walking around in Chicago or New York freezing your tushy off right now you probably wanna punch me in the face for saying that, but hear me out. A big part of why I moved to LA was I got sick and tired of winter in the midwest. If you’ve ever experienced it you know that it’s freaking brutal. My car window scraper was both my best friend and worst enemy. Now that I live in the land of perpetual sunshine I actually welcome cold weather and even *gasp* rain. Yeah.. can’t say I saw that one coming either. There’s something great about the smell of fall or getting to lay in bed guilt-free when the weather is gross.
This brings me to a very critical point. No matter where you live, by now it’s SwEaTeR WeAtHeR, baby! If you think for one second being somewhere warm makes you ok with giving up a chunky knit you have another thing coming. Updating my sweater arsenal is probably my favorite part of switching to a fall wardrobe. (Ok.. maybe after shoe shopping because let’s be real.. shoes.) For me, finding a few really good oversized sweaters is the key to looking presentable until spring because without them I inevitably revert back to my comfy, but grungy, sweatshirt collection. Not a good look.
Let me start by saying my love affair with collecting sweaters is a very tumultuous one. While, yes, there are a lot of metaphorical fish sweaters in the sea, I’m picky. I’m basically the Goldie Locks of sweaters… this one’s too tight, that one’s too itchy. You get it. I have had many sweaters in my life, but I’m just gonna go ahead and say it.. this one is my favorite. ever. It’s super soft, the perfect neutral color and, most importantly, loose in all the right places without being too baggy. And no, this is not a sponsored post. This is true love. (Lol so dramatic.)
What are your cold weather ride or dies? Also, if you have any favorite sweater brands please share because you can never have too many, am I right? ;)
